I had a similar situation this morning with this carrier. After I sent them the confimation they said their factoring company will not accept our credit. (we have great credit and have been around 20 years) They wanted a C.O.D, half at Pickup and Half at delivery. Once I head that and didnt even bother listening anymore. I just pulled the load and called the shipper and told them not to load their truck. Sonic is also part of there shady operation...James

Freedom Express Logistics, Inc. was booked on a load on 02/08/2010 at 10:13AM. We found numerous complaints about Freedom, including reports that it held loads hostage and double brokered. We then informed “Mike Smith,” that is the name the driver gave us, at 10:44 a.m. that he was not authorized to pick up the load. Still, he picked up the load and demanded the total payment up front or he threatened to dump the load. We explained that he was never authorized to have the load, but that we would make the payment when he bumped the dock. This was not acceptable to him. On 2/12/10 we gave Mike Smith the total payment by Tchek and he said he would then deliver immediately. However, 5 hours later he demanded an additional $800 to deliver. We refused to give him the additional $800 amid his constant threats and filed police reports and insurance claims. 5 days after we filed the reports, the truck arrived at the receiver unannounced and delivered the product on 2/16/10 while continuing to demand the $800 through the morning of 2/17.
Other companies purportedly associated with Freedom. (Including; Greenlight Truck Line, Jose Colmenares Trucking (MC 695880), Bull Transportation Solutions (MC 193751) Emmanuel Transportation (MC424175), California Time Express, Agape Solutions (MC569920), Express Freight Solutions (MC573165), Masaa (MC575519), MDM Logistics (MC572491), Neptune Transportation (MC266782), A&R Trucking Express, All State Truck Lines (MC460879), Bubba Trucking (MC465506), Williams Transportation, North American Truck Lines (MC55398), All Nite (MC509414), Day and Night, Concise Brokerage (MC471299), Reliable Funding, Inc. and Alpha and Omega Factoring.)

Thanks for the report! Keep them coming!
